Every single branch was researched and adheres to the descriptions found within respected anatomical textbooks. Every branch follows a very specific path through muscle, connective tissue and bone. This was not a "artistic challenge" but certainly a challenge of our patience. I would estimate that this took the three of us well over a year to construct. One of our primary problems lay in the fact that even if one small muscle or layer of connective tissue had to be altered; a chain reaction of alterations could echo throughout the entire region. It's only now that I've had a chance to step back - do I appreciate just how much pain staking work the team put into this side of the project as we would usually only be operating in one small area at a time.
